Frequently Asked Questions

How can I order an item with my child's drawings embroidered on it?

I only accept orders through this website.
Select the listing for the item you'd like to order, then choose your preferred color and size. Please note that t-shirts and heavyweight knitwear are available in both women's and men's fits. Next, select the number of drawings you'd like included in the embroidery (options are 1, 5, or 8). Our viral sweatshirts — embroidered on the front, back, and sleeves — are created using 8 drawings. Single-drawing items feature one large embroidered design, either on the front or back.

If you have specific preferences for where the drawings should be placed on the item, you can note them in the Special Instructions field at checkout — I always do my best to accommodate your requests. The Upload Art button lets you upload photos or scans of your drawings directly. Please take photos in good lighting, as this helps our embroidery digitizers work with greater accuracy. If you are not ready to upload art right away - no problem, you can email it when you're ready to goodlifeisallowed@gmail.com with your order number in the subject line.

Choose your preferred shipping method and complete your payment. You'll receive an order confirmation by email.
Current turnaround time is 5–10 business days.

Why can only one drawing be embroidered on a t-shirt, while sweatshirts can have multiple designs?

Sweatshirts are made from thick, brushed fleece knit fabric, which provides a more stable base for embroidery and holds up better through repeated washing. A t-shirt with multiple embroidered designs may lose its shape and appearance after just a few washes — the thin knit fabric would need heavy stabilizing to prevent the embroidery from pulling through or damaging the material during wear. The chest area, however, holds up well to stabilizer backing and regular washing, which is why it's the ideal placement for a single design on lighter fabrics.

Why does production take so long?

Every item goes through a detailed production cycle that can take anywhere from a few hours to several days. Each drawing is first digitized for embroidery — essentially converted into a stitch program. This is done by a professional digitizer and can take anywhere from one to several hours per drawing. Only after digitizing and color testing on sample fabric is the final piece embroidered. It then goes through trimming of jump stitches and stabilizer backing, a quality check, and finally shipping to you.

I always aim to ship all orders within a week. During periods of high order volume (for example, around holidays), production time may extend to a minimum of 10 business days.

Can I send you my own garment to get my art embroidered on it?

I do not accept customer-supplied garments for embroidery.
During the embroidery process, commercial embroidery machines can potentially damage a garment — stretching, staining with oil, tearing, or jamming the fabric. This isn't a rare occurrence; it's simply a normal part of the process. When I work with my own inventory, you never even see these incidents happen, because I simply replace the item and you still receive exactly what was promised.

If something were to happen to your own garment, however, I would have to inform you and find a resolution — and by that point, your experience would already be negatively affected. To ensure consistent quality and a worry-free experience, I only work with garments from my own curated inventory.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, I ship worldwide. To find out the shipping cost to your country, you'll need to build your order in the cart first — no payment is required at this step. Simply add the item you'd like to your cart, select your desired number of drawings and your size. Once in the cart, enter your full shipping address, and you'll be able to see all available shipping options, along with any customs duties or additional fees applicable in your country.

I'm unable to calculate shipping costs individually upon request — this information can only be generated through the checkout process as described above.

Can I return my item?

Items from our regular collection featuring standard prints and embroidery are eligible for return. These may be returned within 14 days of receipt, provided they are unworn and still have their original tags attached.

All items created using custom text, drawings, photos, or other client-provided design elements are final sale and not eligible for return.

If something is wrong with your custom item — such as a defect or embroidery that has come loose — please contact me through the feedback form on this website, or email me directly at goodlifeisallowed@gmail.com.
